My story:
Why did I become an actor? Because I couldn't build a time machine. In school I was fascinated with history and longed for a way to step into the past and explore what it would feel like to live in a different time period and culture. It started with acting out children's books in preschool and evolved into to my first school plays and concerts. I loved sharing these journeys with an audience and making them relate to a character or situation that at first glance looked to foreign to them.
I'm a professional actor/singer based in NYC. Although I wouldn’t consider myself a “dancer”, I love to do it and fearlessly dance like no one is watching (even when they are). I'm an introvert... but you wouldn't know it until I step off stage. When I'm not acting, I love experimenting with baked goods in the kitchen and kicking some major booty at the UFC gym. I'm incredibly hard working and focused, but I'll surprise you with how loudly a girl this small can laugh.

My main focus is on classical theatre and making women written fifteen, fifty, or five hundred years ago alive and relatable to a modern audience. But I also love the thrill and creative process of bringing a new play or intimate musical to life. I would love to do more on camera work as well to explore characters’ vulnerability in that up-close and personal medium. I'm drawn to "coming of age" stories where girls become women by taking their first stand: like fighting for the right to love the person of their choice, standing up to their family to decide their own future, or pushing back against the world's harsh challenges to accomplish their "impossible" dream.
My credits:
I grew up in Westfield, New Jersey and graduated with honors from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama and a minor in history. While studying abroad in London, I fell madly in love with Shakespeare. I sought out additional classical theater training at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and performed with Manhattan Shakespeare Project (all female Henry V) and Holmdel Theater Company (Hermia in Midsummer). I found yet another passion in theater for young audiences and was featured in new musicals in the 2012 and 2013 New York Children's Theater Festivals. I then continued on to two national tours with Artspower performing in 29 states and I am hoping to visit all 50 before I turn 30. My regional musical credits span from the classics (such as Ado Annie in Oklahoma!) to new contemporary hits (Sue Snell in Carrie: The Musical & Thea in Spring Awakening). In the summer of 2015 I have settled back in NYC and began an artist in residence at NYC's "other Shakespeare in the Park" Hudson Warehouse. So far with the company, I've had the pleasure to play Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, Lavinia in Titus Andronicus, and Queen Margaret in Henry Part 1, 2, 3. After getting a taste of TV being featured in season three of HBO's "Boardwalk Empire”, I am continuing to train in TV/film acting and am currently seeking representation. When I’m not on stage or screen, I am embracing my passion for history and love of story telling by working as a Tour Guide at the observatory of One World Trade Center. |
